Whitehall Elementary School Students Raise Over $2,500 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

The students of Whitehall Elementary School recently participated in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon, a program that not only strengthens math skills but also raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, 19 students successfully completed the event, demonstrating both academic dedication and a commitment to helping children in need.

Through their hard work and the generosity of their families and sponsors, the students raised an impressive $2,510, with $2,260 collected online and $250 through offline donations. Their contributions will help support life-saving treatments and groundbreaking research at St. Jude, ensuring that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

Top Fundraisers Recognized
Several students went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts. The top earners included:

  • $500 - Axel S. (Mrs. Paddock's Grade 4)
  • $270 - Evalyn S. (Mrs. Lavin's Grade 2)
  • $265 - Behrett S. (Ms. McKee's Kindergarten)
  • $215 - Ryann W. (Ms. McKee's Kindergarten)
  • $150 - Cylas C. (Ms. Sharrow's Grade 3)
  • $150 - Eli D. (Mrs. Denno's Grade 3)
  • $150 - Tessa S. (Mrs. Heckman's Grade 1)
  • $110 - Lola S. (Ms. Sharrow's Grade 3)
  • $100 - Royce M. (Mrs. Gates' Grade 1)
  • $100 - Ryleigh M. (Mrs. Paddock's Grade 4)
  • $100 - Carter M. (Mrs. Pelkey's Grade 3)

The St. Jude Math-A-Thon provides an opportunity for students to apply their math skills in a meaningful way while contributing to a worthy cause. Over the past several weeks, students worked on their math booklets and reached out to family, friends, and community members to raise donations. The enthusiasm and commitment displayed by these young learners were truly inspiring.

Whitehall Elementary School is proud of its students for their efforts and thanks all the families and community members who supported this fundraiser.
