  • Meal Distribution Begins: 10 a.m.
  • Volunteer Arrival Time: 7 a.m.

Volunteers Needed

Community volunteers are needed to help make this year's distribution a success. Thank you to everyone who volunteered last year and helped support this important effort. New volunteers are welcome, too!

To register, visit the Regional Food Bank's Volunteer Page and follow these steps:
  1. Scroll to “How to Register for a Shift” and click on Capital Region Opportunities.
  2. Find and select Thanksgiving Distribution: Whitehall HS.
  3. Follow the prompts to sign up.
After registering, volunteers will receive a confirmation email with a Civil Rights Training video to watch before distribution day.
Student Volunteers: Students ages 16 and older may register online and can earn National Honor Society or community service hours, if needed. Students under age 16 who are interested in volunteering should contact the district staff member coordinating the event for information about possible opportunities.

The Regional Food Bank brings its own staff to help coordinate the distribution, and last year's event ran smoothly thanks to their organization and the support of local volunteers.
