Capital Improvement Projects
On May 19, 2026, voters in the Whitehall Central School District approved the purchase of 7.32+/- acres of real property located at 270 Broadway, Whitehall, NY 12887 at a cost of $250,000 for the purpose of relocating the bus garage to that site.
The Board of Education and administration invited community volunteers to participate in monthly meetings with the Buildings and Grounds Committee to plan the transportation facility project. Interested residents submitted their names to serve as community representatives, and the following individuals were chosen by lottery on September 21, 2026, to make up the Transportation Committee:
1. Mrs. Maryellen Ellis
2. Mr. James Frasier
3. Ms. Oshen Beayon
Alternate: Mrs. Lynn Enny
In September 2026, the Transportation Committee toured the current bus garage and saw the conditions firsthand.
