Whitehall Elementary School’s music teacher, Mrs. Lauren Chandler, has been recognized as this week’s Adirondack Broadcasting Teacher of the Week, an honor sponsored by TCT Federal Credit Union.

Mrs. Chandler was praised for her dedication, talent, and the incredible impact she has had on students and the school community. With over a decade of service to the Whitehall Central School District, she has built a thriving music and band program that continues to grow and inspire.

Described as “kind, patient, fun and talented,” Mrs. Chandler’s efforts reach far beyond the classroom. She frequently provides musical opportunities outside of the school day, volunteers to organize student music festivals, and invites former students back to collaborate with current ones—creating a unique and inspiring sense of community.

Recently, Mrs. Chandler transformed her music classroom into a dynamic “rock & glow” learning space, complete with lighting and decorations that brought an exciting, high-energy atmosphere to her music lessons.

The district congratulates Mrs. Chandler on this well-deserved recognition and thanks her for her continued dedication to Whitehall’s students and families.
