Whitehall Central School District Receives School Safety Excellence Award

The Whitehall Central School District has been honored with Utica National's "School Safety Excellence Award" for 2025, achieving recognition at the Titanium with Honors level. This prestigious accolade highlights the district's exceptional dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students, staff, and visitors.

Presented during Utica National's 43rd annual school safety seminar, this award not only recognizes the district's outstanding safety efforts but also comes with a $500 grant to support its ongoing safety programs.

Utica National's award program evaluates schools on various safety aspects, from bullying prevention to playground safety, using specific, measurable criteria. As Mark Angelucci, Senior Vice President of Utica National's Specialty Lines, said, "The time to address threats is before a loss happens, which really helps contribute to the safety culture that districts are working toward."

Whitehall Central School District is proud to be a part of this initiative, reinforcing its commitment to creating a safe, focused, and healthy environment for learning.
