Whitehall Elementary students showcased their skills and luck during an energetic "Minute To Win It" themed assembly. Yet, their presence wasn't the result of luck. This celebration was organized by the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) committee to recognize and continue to incentivize positive student behavior. 

Students earned tickets throughout January for demonstrating the monthly character trait - courage or for being a responsible, respectful, and/or safe Railroader. The tickets were then randomly drawn to determine who would compete in various challenges. Wearing an eye-catching gold sequined jacket, Christine Hoagland combined the instructions and humor as she assumed the role of the game show host. The challenges included ping pong shake out, candy cane exchange, cookie face, elephant bowling, and marshmallow head.The Pre-K and Kindergarten students also showed their creativity by decorating a classmate in the “My Pretty Valentine,” contest. 

While this event was full of fun and excitement, it also reinforced core values, including being a respectful audience and cheering on peers, fostering an environment of camaraderie and support. Each challenge became a platform not only for individual achievement but also for collective encouragement and shared joy as cheers and laughter could be heard throughout the gymnasium.
