Madison Gould Selected as Adirondack League's MVP

We are pleased to share the exciting news that Madison Gould was selected as the Adirondack League’s Most Valuable Player for the spring 2022 softball season. 

 

Though she’s only a junior, Madison is a fourth year starter. Her pitching record this season is an impressive 189 strike outs and only giving up 7 walks. Not only can she pitch, but she can also hit and posted a batting average of .521. She had 8 home runs; 1 triple; 11 doubles; and 21 singles. 

 

Coach Pam Putorti stated, “Madison is the epitome of what it means to be an MVP. She never rests on her laurels and she is an asset both on the mound and at the plate.”

 

In addition to Madison, Olivia Whiting and Vinna Jensen were named to the Adirondack League First-Team and Blake Bird and Ava Ruby were named to the Adirondack League Second-Team.

 

Players were voted on by the league coaches at their post-season meeting. Coaches cannot vote for their own players. The Adirondack League comprises the following school districts: Argyle, Corinth, Fort Ann, Fort Edward, Hadley-Luzerne, Hartford, Granville, Lake George, North Warren, Salem, Warrensburg, and Whitehall.
